So I was chillin in this place called Terraria...

Greetings! I've finally gotten around to making another blog post and this time I have a particular subject that I wish to speak about and that is a little game called Terraria.
Terraria is an indie game that was released May 16 of this year and is an action/rpg/adventure game. To be a little more specific think Minecraft meets Castlevania. Basically you create your character, create a world (of which you can have up to 5 at a time), and then proceed to "survive and thrive". Much like Minecraft it's a sandbox and without a driving goal beyond "get better gear/build an awesome fort/shelter". However the combat is rather fun and building stuff can be neat although for me designing cool looking structures is a bit tricky due to it being in 2D. It also has multiplayer which only adds to the fun. Ah but it gets better! Free, consistent, and rather substantial updates and it's all for $10 which is mind-blowing. So yea bottom-line is that if you like action/rpg/adventure and don't want to spend a whole lot then I cannot recommend this game enough.
On an semi-unrelated-to-this-topic-but-related-to-this-blog note I'm hopefully going to start getting more posts out and seeing as how I've been playing a lot of games recently they'll mainly be reviews although I'll probably toss in a "regular" post to mix things up a bit or even combine the two (shock!). Also if you happen to read this and have ideas or constructive criticism please let me hear it. I'm still fairly new to blogging beyond little status updates on twitter/google+/facebook so feedback is MUCH appreciated. Anywho that's all I got to say for now, I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings and with that I bid you farewell.
Oh and before I forget Terraria is available on Steam for the aforementioned $10 and here's a Beginner's Guide to Terraria and here's a screenshot:
